Brinnon's First wildland crew deployment

A crew from Brinnon Fire Dept is responding to the EAST BEACH RD Fire at Lake Crescent. The fire has grown to over 63 acres and our crew will be on-scene for the next several days. Watch here for updates and pictures as they report daily.

July 30, 4 PM: The crew arrived in base camp 

 

July 31, 11AM. Brinnon Fire Dept's crew boss FF Jerry Rule was made the incident commander for the night operations. This morning they (our crew) are bedding down and resting for another long night. Jerry reported the fire is 60+ acres in size and still growing. Last night they were having lighting strikes. He reports 0% contained at this time. The fir

Update: August 1st 1:30pm

Brush 41 continues with night time operations. Jerry reports the crew is in good spirits. Last nights operation established fire line protecting infrastructures for the community. The crew has bedded down and will be back out later tonight. Strong work Brush 41! #brinnonfireproud


Update: August 1st 8:45pm 

Brush 41 is back on the fire. Jerry reports it’s at 100 acres and approximately 15% contained. They have dozers cutting fire line and are continually fighting fire with emphasis focused on critical infrastructure and homes. I’ll continue to update as they send home information. #brinnonfireproud

Update: August 2nd 10:00pm

Brush 41 continues to fight fire this evening. Brush 41 is working with 3 other brush engines protecting vital infrastructure. Firefighter Rule (Jerry) is in charge of the operations again tonight. I’ll post again in the morning with more details.
